W.A.S.H. (Workshop in Art Studio and History) is an intro art program held at Sam Houston State University. Taught by Bill Davenport and Kathryn Kelley, it is the first step on the path to earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts at SHSU.

Craft Hints

Craft is important. Clean edges and thoughtful presentation can mean the difference between a good project and a great project.

Last Semester I took a Bookarts with Kate BorcherdingIf you are a GRAPHICS major I highly recommend taking it as soon as possible because kowledge of the correct way to fold, crease, and bind will improve your portfolio.

Bone Knife (folding knife) or Dull non-serrated butter knife

if your not interested in owning the helpful handy book then I suggest you spend some time online looking a different ways to bind, and then make small dummy books to keep on hand.
